Peace

Seems having Feo confined to a play pen for the last six weeks has helped Hobbes find a sense of peace. That was the last hurdle for him. Of course, there's no room on the bed for me anymore, but who needs sleep when you have happy fur kids? ;-) By the way, that's Feo's pink blanket that Les made for her back before her surgery. She's slept with it every day for the last six weeks. I point this out only because I want it understood I don't normally sleep with a pink blanket. Just so we're all clear. :p



Feo is doing much better, too, finding her own peace in a way. She had her (hopefully) last set of X-rays done this past Monday to see how she has been healing and the vet was much more positive about her recovery. There was actually a little bit of over-correction which he thinks will work itself out leaving her with a much more stable knee. He's given her the okay to no longer be confined during the day, take the stairs, and be walked. She and Les and I are all much happier. :)

As for Boogs... he's just happy to steal Feo's blanket. Notice a pattern?

Climate Change

Thanks to an exceptionally wet and cold winter I have a glacier in my backyard. Quite literally it is made of snows dating back to October, 2009. Normally, this would have me concerned, but having seen what fun it is for Herman, I figure it will at least provide some entertainment until it finally melts.



As you can see, Feo is walking around nicely. She goes in for her 6 week check-up tomorrow (x-rays), so... fingers crossed.

PS: Doesn't she look cute in her new bandanna? Les sewed that up for her today. It has cows on it. :)

PPS: I don't know why the comments and "posted by" stuff is gone. If I remove the YouTube movie it comes back. Anyway, I think you can leave a comment if you click on the post title and view it as a separate post. Maddening. ;-)

PPPS: I see if I leave the page to sit long enough, the comments and stuff comes back. Even after IE says it's done loading the page apparently it is not. Double maddening.

From cat toys to pillow cases

The cats seem to appreciate my new sewing skills. They don't mind the crooked seams and enjoy depositing lots of cat hair on my pillowcases. Thanks to A Corgi to Quilt By for the pattern.
